Dog Foster Resources
In addition to the resources below, don't forget to join the MADACC Dog Foster Facebook Group for support from fellow fosters and MADACC Staff (If this is an emergency, contact MADACC directly!)
Click here to find the general guidelines for a MADACC foster dog - including what's expected of you, who to contact for help and how to set your foster dog up for success!
A few ideas are available here, here and here!
Try to integrate some novel enrichment into your foster dog's life a couple of times a week - walks are great, but there's a world of other options that can help work your pups brain and body!
Interested in learning more? Check out "Canine Enrichment for the Real World" for a deep dive into the importance of enrichment!

There is no right or wrong way to help your foster find their forever family, but check out our handy guide for some tips from seasoned fosters. (Have tips of your own? Email them to marketing@friendsofmadacc.org!)
Remember - MADACC does not allow for the use of any aversive tools (prong collars, choke collars, sprays, air horns, etc.) in their training. If you have questions about training a behavior using positive reinforcement, please reach out to the Facebook group or contact Gabrielle or Karen.
