Volunteer Your Way!
Friends of MADACC (FOM) and MADACC both rely on volunteers to provide community and shelter support to the pets of Milwaukee County. Volunteering a few hours a month for paws-itively impacts the lives of homeless animals and allows us to reach more pets in need.
Between FOM events and shelter operations, there is a volunteer position that will fit within your lifestyle.
Hit the link below or send us an email to get started today!
1. Volunteer at a FOM Event
Help out at our booth at various festivals throughout the city, or provide hands-on assistance at community events (vaccine clinics, food pantries, etc.) Common volunteer duties include distributing flyers or door hangers for upcoming events, helping sell FOM merch at our fundraising events, helping set-up or clean-up before or after events, and more!
2. Volunteer at MADACC
If you have regular availability either on a monthly or weekly basis, check out the opportunities to volunteer within shelter operations. Everything from walking dogs, socializing cats, helping the vet or office staff or working with new families looking to adopt .. no amount of time is to little. Check out their volunteer opportunities here!
3. Join the Board
If you are passionate about animal welfare and see yourself as a leader, a chair on the FOM Board might be for you! Board chairs are responsible for strategic oversight of all activities, managing the operations of the organization and overseeing committee and volunteer work. (Learn about our current board here!)
(Note: Chair positions are unpaid).
4. Additional Opportunities
If you have a specific skill-set (graphic-design, event planning, donor communication, etc.) we would love to hear from you! Our chairs take on an incredible load of work every year and are always happy to have skilled professionals (or hobbyists!) who are willing and able to provide behind-the-scenes support. We're serious when we say - If you'd like to help, we want you to help!
